Public Sector Update: Court of Appeal decision on superannuation
The Court of Appeal has confirmed that increases in superannuation guaranteed charges are absorbed within the NSW Government’s renumeration cap of 2.5% per year.
The Court of Appeal has quashed order made by President Boland in the Industrial Relations Commission in late 2013 that would have increased renumeration by more than is permitted under the policy.
The matters have been remitted to the Commission to deal with the 2013 applications in accordance with the law as settled by the law of appeal.
