Newcastle Bulletin: Update on protected action and KDH wage grab
RTBU Delegates met with managers from Keolis Downer at 09:00 this morning to discuss the unreasonable amount of time in penalty payments we must endure. This was in response to the email sent to workers yesterday on the notice they would wage grab from frontline workers.
At 14:00, Mr Emmanuel Genlot from Keolis Downer responded to RTBU Delegates that they were intent on reducing our pay by 4.58%- which is unjust, and unacceptable.
Our Executive Team will be submitting an urgent hearing request with the FWC to have this decision heard.
A reminder to members that both actions are still on- we can win this fight if everyone on the ground stands together!
Keep an eye on your emails for updates about depot meetings we’ll have on Monday.
Let’s focus on our solidarity and not worry about what other people are doing. This is a fight for your wages and conditions, and we need to focus on our strength, not what anyone else is up to.
