Letter of Thanks from the Police Association of NSW

Police Officers have been fighting a difficult battle against the State Government over the maintenance of police Death & Disability insurance.  Without access to this scheme, the families of Police Officers will be exposed to financial hardship should they suffer serious injury or death in the line of duty.

Rail, Tram and Bus Union members have received the following letter of thanks from the Police Association of NSW:

On behalf of the Police Association of NSW and the 16,000 members we represent, I’d like to thank you and your union for your support.

The actions we have taken so far are the first stage in what will be a long campaign to reverse the disgraceful changes to the Death & Disability benefits of the hardworking men and women of the NSW Police Force.

As we head into 2012, and the ongoing fight to rectify these injustices, we hope we can look forward to your continued support and assistance, and would ask that you forward our appreciation for your efforts to your members.
