Early reports from Sydney light rail derailments
During the evening of Monday 7th October, two trams on the Sydney Lightrail system derailed at seperate stops.
Union Official, David Woollams was in contact with the local workplace delegate, Patrick Fielding, shortly after the news broke.
Mr Fielding advised that both drivers were very experienced. Early indications and what will probably be a long and detailed investigation would suggest that the drivers conducted themselves appropriately.
