Newcastle Bulletin: Online member meetings
Today members of your RTBU Negotiating Committee met with KDH at the Fair Work Commission (FWC) to resolve issues relating to the proposed wage reduction in response to our protected industrial action with the BDCs.
Our Industrial Officer made an attempt to have the hearing expedited to be heard before the next pay cycle, however Keolis Downer indicated they could not meet until Wednesday May 30th at the earliest.
The RTBU has made representations to KDH to confirm that no action will be taken by the company until a decision is made by the FWC.
Deputy President Roberts of the FWC has directed that the RTBU submit it’s evidence by the end of this week with Keolis Downer to respond by Friday May 30th.
Deputy President Roberts has then convened a hearing for 10:00am Monday June 2nd.
Further to this tomorrow at 10:00 am, 12:00 noon, and 14:00 (2:00 pm) the RTBU will be hosting online member meetings via Teams.
