The Liberals’ true hidden agenda revealed

An article in the AFR today reveals the true agenda behind the NSW Government’s bus privatisation plans: the full privatisation of all public transport in Australia.

The article covers a new report from Infrastructure Australia which has calculated how much state governments could allegedly save if they privatised all public bus and rail systems across the country.

As well as talking up the Sydney Metro franchise and gleaning over the catastrophe of Victoria’s rail privatisation, the article boasts that private operators “may reduce costs by improving productivity with performance incentives and better asset management, as well as cutting jobs.”
