Light Rail EA talks begin

On Friday September 2, RTBU Bus and Tram Division Officers Chris Preston and David Woollams met with Luke Hayden and representatives from the Veolia Light Rail Division including, Mina Choi, Laura Benjamin, Paul Briggs, Patrick Fielding in order to formulate a log of claims before the current EA expires on October 31 this year.

The workshop was helpful in identifying several working conditions that need to be improved for staff such as sign on/off times, rosters and allowances. These are items that are standard in most Awards but are non-existent for members at Sydney Light Rail.
